Omniture SiteCatalyst Page Naming Strategy
Taking the time to individually provide naming and hierarchy can drastically improve content reporting efficiency. There is no one correct page name strategy. This assumes a basic understanding of page name implementation and strategy further basics can be found in the references below.
One approach to page naming is to utilize URLs for content reports. This is the default method that Google Analytics currently utilizes and if no page name is defined Omniture SiteCatalyst defaults to this method as well. This takes almost no implementation effort and can fit certain needs.
Omniture Plug-ins
Looking to extend Adobe - Omniture's SiteCatalyst measurement automation functionality? This can be accomplished by implementing a number of JavaScript plug-ins. These are pre-written functions built to easily insert further features for additional measurement capabilities. A list of these feature sets can be found on the Omniture Blog. These code snippets can be added to the core s_code file.
Automated Omniture Download Tracking
Omniture provides some great functionality for automatically tracking downloads with JavaScript for analytics. 
Issues arise with the reliance upon JavaScript for measurement. Not all users have JavaScript turned on. The below script is an automated way to track downloads using server side passing of data.

Omniture Summit 2010 was an overall great conference. Omniture managed to somehow outdo themselves this year by improving the production from 2009 with very little room to have done so. The summit had some great content and incredible keynotes. There were some really wonderful people sharing insights and experiences.

Analytics packages provide a very good tool for acquiring visitor information. Some of these vendors include Google Analytics, Omniture's SiteCatalyst, Coremetrics, and Web Trends.
